Jonathan Cohen has worked on socially responsible business (SRB) for the past ten years of a fifteen year career. He managed the launch of the first global standard to verify SRB reports in the UK, created an early SRB news e-list in the mid-1990s that ran for seven years, served as Founding Content Manager of web news for the U.N. Global Compact – the U.N. SRB program, organized a competition to launch SRBs and over 100 events in the U.S, Europe and Africa.
He created and taught the first class on NGOs (non-governmental organizations) and SRB at New York University (NYU) and published book chapters concerning global SRB trends. He has served 18 years with Amnesty International, including a current position as a founding Corporate Action Network Coordinator.
Mr. Cohen earned a design-your-own M.A. from NYU in The Relationship Between Non-Profit Organizations and Socially Responsible Business.
